stories from egypt
inside - I'm an Egyptian B.Sc. in Engineering. Fiew years ago, I
started saying poetry till I reached, these years, at a high level even more
than famous poets. After being the
Poet of Engineering for the whole five years, the Poet of Cairo. Uni. for the
last year and the Poet of Universities, I'm in such trouble! I don not like
studying, say poems instead!
This lead me to spend my time diving into the heavens of words and imagination
for hours! But.. WHAT ABOUT MY STUDY AND WORK?!
outside - I felt so happy when I noticed the increasing attention by my
citizens to the Internet.
Every day many many students, operators and doctors ask me frequently about
things in the Internet. Also
many departments and labs are being joined to it.
future - Of course, as a Muslim, Arabian and Egyptian, I hope: (1) The
outer waorld, especially USA and the West,
know us well and realize what our religion and traditions say. (2) New
technologies, esp. the Internet,
become basic knowledgements for us. (3) NO WARS!!

inside - No recent inspirations. I don't even recall any
inspirations at all.
I bought a CD from the Band "K's Choice" and was happy
that there are still people outthere who know how
to make good music. Not that they inspired me to do
something but I was quite happy at that time.
(Does that count?)
outside - There is not much going on here in Cairo. No great
events at all.
future - We will propably have war again in the region.
The USA will loose the struggle againt the rest
of the world and won't be a super power.
Life Style will propably not change much.
Everything will propably get harder, with mass
epedemies, famine in the third World, western
financed wars in the third world etc.
Life will be hard for everyone, even for the people
in the industrial countries.
