stories from guatemala
inside - I meet the Vice-President of my Country, Dr. Luis Flores
in a Work meeting of my job.
For many years, Guatemala has been governed by
corrupted people, who look first for his personals
interests. But this time, we are shure we have
a different chance. In those meeting, the organization
where I work and the goverment expoused the plans
for the 3 next years, and now we have a new hope.
I'm sure in tree years my nation will be really
different, enhanced, better than today.
Now, I work very happy, knowing that our future
will be better than the past I knew
outside - The peace sign treaty between the Goverment and the guerrilla
More than 30 years of civil war destroyed my nation, killed thousands of ppeople,
but finally those time is over. Many people is comming back home,
weapons are being destroyed by the old enemys like some time ago
enemys destroyed themselves with those weapons.
future - I hope people learn to live in armony, I hope people
understand that we are not only an individual person,
but a whole, and when my neightboard get better, I get
better with him.

future - It probably will be FUTURISM and the people will have to much
individualism, very independent, the tendency of living in society will
probably decrease. But at the same time it probably will have a great
technological development. And probably the human being will have a great
comprehension about the escence of the man kind.

feliz.

inside - My sister's kidneys have just failed forever. She is
in a peritoneal dialisys treatment for life, or until a compatible kidney is
found. She has taught me these days how to fight for life and dignity and how
to show love for our family. I love her very much and hope to have her around
for more years to come.
outside - After more than 30 years of a stupid internal war, peace has
come to Guatemala. It looks like a big sun is raising in our horizon. As
Beethoven once said, men will be brothers again here.
future - Harder than now. Crowded. Expensive. Maybe we can have
better technologies to make life easier in some aspects, but I think we are
loosing moral values more and more each day.
