Jo is a graduate of Oxford University where she studied politics, philosophy and economics (PPE). She qualified with KPMG as a chartered accountant and also has an MBA. Jo joined NVA in 2007 after a lengthy stint with BBC News in London and more recently as Head of Financial Management for BBC Scotland.

Jo retains a love of animals but the only monkey in her life is her son Finlay! As well as a bean counter Jo is a bean grower. Other interests include films of the forties and all things Victorian.
